There are a variety of ways developers can get involved with SugarCRM. You can customize SugarCRM to meet your business's needs, fix bugs, translate the application to other languages or add new features.

Download

Sugar source code is written in PHP, a runtime interpreted language that is operating system independent. That means when you download the source code, you download the full product. To install Sugar, simply download the latest source code into your web root, run the included installer to set configurations and create your database, and you're good to go. You will need MySQL and PHP already installed on your system.

  • Latest Stable Release - Download the latest stable release of Sugar Open Source.
  • All Downloads - View all Sugar Open Source downloads including documentation, any available betas of the current release in development, and archived releases.
  • CVS - Get the latest source directly from the SugarCRM CVS source code repository. Not for the faint-of-heart, any given system snapshot-in-time is not guaranteed to completely work as it is a work-in-progress. Good for verifying that a particular bug you are tracking is fixed or getting an idea of where Sugar is going in the next release.

Tools

  • SourceForge.net - Started on SourceForge.net, the SugarCRM open source project maintains its source code and download-packages on this valuable resource for the open source world.
