- Being a part of the SugarCRM project is easy and doesn’t require that you be a code warrior. There are lots of ways you can contribute to the fastest growing CRM system on the planet.

Make a Donation

If you are enjoying using the Sugar Open Source edition and want to show your support for the Sugar Team, you can always make a donation.

Report Bugs

Start by downloading and installing the Sugar Open Source application or visiting the Sugar demo site. Install it with demo data or import your own data. Before submitting a bug report, search the SugarCRM bug tracker to make sure your bug hasn’t already been reported. If it has, then feel free to add any extra details you can.

Fix Bugs

Is there some bug that is keeping you from finishing your project? Instead of just reporting it, feel free to fix it as well. Patches should be posted on the Sugar Open Source Download forum or emailed directly to mailto:dev@sugarcrm.com.

When you start working on a bug be sure to indicate this by making a note of it in the SugarCRM Bug Tracker in the “additional comments” box. This lets others know that someone is working on the problem and helps reduce duplication of effort.

Write Documentation

We need documentation for users and developers working on SugarCRM. If you write code and share it, be sure to document it. If you wish to contribute to the documentation effort, you can join in by contributing to the existing documentation.
