Miami Live! SDUG

We are headed to Miami, Florida for our next in-person Sugar Developer Users Group (SDUG) meeting. Please join David Moceri and Max Blackmer from RapidX Development on the afternoon of Monday, September 24th, 2007, the day before the CRM Acceleration event. We'll have several Sugar Team members on hand to talk about the upcoming 5.0 release, and we'll have community members present techincal topics of interest.

If you're interested in attending this event, please send an email to SDUG@rapidxdev.com so we can get an approximate headcount and we can keep you informed of the location and details as we finalize plans.

Sugar Developer Newswire

  • Beta 1 of Sugar 5.0 has been released! You can preview the edition in our Community Preview area and also can download the code in our Downloads area. For Sugar Professional and Enterprise customers, you will find the code located in the Downloads area of the Support portal. Please provide feedback to this release via the Sugar Suite 5.0 feedback forum. You can enter bugs through the  Bug Tracker portal; use 5.0-Beta1 as the value for the "Found in Release" field.
  • We're well underway building a new developer-centric website for our Sugar Developer community. The site will be geared towards both new Sugar developers and existing developers who want to quickly get up to speed on the newest (5.0) code. Look for the new site to debut in early October.
  • Have you seen our new Download Wizard? If you're unsure which package to choose for an upgrade, patch or new installation, we'll help you walk through the sometimes-confusing maze of choices.
  • Sugar University has announced more dates for  live in-person Administrator training sessions this summer. This comprehensive two-day learning session provides system administrators with the skills and best practices to administer Sugar for optimum results. Through a combination of lecture and hands-on exercises, students will learn and apply the key competencies needed to set up, configure, maintain, and customize Sugar. Catch us in Miami, Florida on September 26-27, right after the CRM Acceleration event. We're also making plans to offer the class in London on October 3-4.
  • Happy Birthday to Julian Ostrow, our Sugar Online team member and overall Sugar guru. As one of the very first employees of Sugar, he's worked in just about every department, but considers his work with the Developer community his first love. Now we can buy him a beer legally!
