  • We hit our 3 Millionth download of All Things Sugar on March 21st! Congratulations to Dusty Miller of Spokane, WA for correctly guessing the closest date and time for this event. Dusty is the proud owner of a SugarCRM coffee mug for his efforts.
  • Congratulations to Max Blackmer for successfully hosting the first-ever in-person Sugar Developers User Group in Chicago earlier this month. We're waiting on others to step up and co-host events. Sugar provides logistical support.
  • Speaking of Max, the next SDUG Online meeting is April 4th at 10AM PDT, and features a reprise of Max's presentation from the Chicago meeting. Max will lead a session on customizing with Studio, using an example of a ticket tracking system. Register for this informative event!
  • And speaking of other User Groups, Markku Suominen will be hosting the first SugarDay Helsinki (Finland) on April 25, 2007. The event is sponsored by Antamis with the cooperation of Centre for Open Source Software Finland. Sugar co-founder Clint Oram will be the featured guest speaker. Other activities include learning about case studies, upcoming features, and best practices, along with time for networking and sessions on building SugarCRM components.
  • Sugar University has published the new Spring Schedule. Highlights include Email Campaign Management and Web-to-Lead form workshops.

Yahoo-Sugar Coding Contest


Sign up for the Yahoo-Sugar Coding contest, being held during the month of April. We have cash prizes totaling $3000 for the most Magnificent Module, the most Dashing Dashlet, and the most creative use of YUI within Sugar. Winners will be announced during the Global Developer Conference on May 3-5.

Module Builder is April's Project of the Month

This month we feature the Module Builder from Olavo Farias. The project allows you to automate the process required to build a new SugarCRM module using templates for: module name, directory, table and object name, admin panel and menu, Search, Detail, Edit Views, and SubPanels.
