Why are you a leading contributor in the SugarCRM community? What are the benefits that you experience from your involvement?
Qontext is new to the SugarCRM community. However, our parent, Pramati Technologies, has been a leading middleware and cloud infrastructure player for over a decade. We hope this is the start of a long-term mutually beneficial relationship with the SugarCRM community.
What inspired you to create this project?
The benefits of Social CRM and Social Collaboration are clear. Gartner just listed these in top 10 strategic technologies for 2011. SugarCRM is a market leader in CRM and SaaS applications. Qontext is the leading social enabling provider for SaaS solutions. Together, we provide an outstanding Social CRM and Collaboration solution suited small to large organizations.
What business pain points were you solving specifically?
- Team selling: Many sales opportunities require collaboration with colleagues from other departments such as Marketing, Product Management, R&D, Customer Service.
- Empowered: Remaining informed about other department interactions with your customers helps you best sell and service them.
- Contextual Recall: Collaboration around accounts, customers, opportunities can be recalled at any time within the context of those people and events.
- Customer Lifetime Value: Keeping all parts of the company in the loop about your customers helps manage those relationships and maximize value from them.
- Collective Knowledge: Leverage and follow expertise within the company.
Is there anything that the users should know about those? Something hidden/new in this project? Think of this as an opportunity to describe how it works to a user?
Unlike public social media, business workers do not need yet another destination web site. Instead, they need social collaboration within the applications they use every day, like SugarCRM. By bringing Social to Sugar, Qontext provides value without the distraction.
