Great Tool - Highly recommended

The use on the internal email included in Sugar is inconvenient and very slow. Gmail is a very fast and powerful email client. The integration is an excellent tool that save a lot of time.
Some suggestions:
1. Add the user name and email to configuration and use this information in order to recognize if this is an inbound or outbound email.
2. Support Mozilla 3.6.
3. Email messages in gmail tend to become very long. A button that automatically cuts all the messages except the last one can help.
4. Another tab that shows next activities the account can help in order to avoid the need to log into sugar in order to do that.

Fantastic little app - easy to use/install

I downloaded the this plugin for my gmail since I travel quite a bit and need to archive emails to Sugar. Install was easy, and using it simple.

Pros: Simple, streamlined, easy to use, error free so far
Cons: Haven't figured out how to "Send and Archive" a message all at once

I would highly recommend this plugin if you use gmail for your email.

Exactly what I wanted

I have two jobs, one for a firm that uses Salesforce and my own that uses SugarCRM. I think I learned of this throuhg a press release. It is simple to set up, does exactly what it pledges, and could be considered a must have for users routing mails through GMail. Thank you developers!

Firefox 3 & DolceGMail 0.5.0 Beta

Seems to be a loop that won't end in some of the functions. Thus Firefox has to be killed and restarted. Pretty crappy.

Make or break for our company

My company uses G-Mail as our primary mail server. Our past experience was with SalesForce which allowed us to attach e-mails using G-Mail and the extra features of their GMail API. We were looking to switch to SugarCRM because of how easy it is to customize and change the php code. Now with this tool we are able to switch and allow our sales reps to attach their e-mails from GMail. GREAT ADD-ON! Thank you DolceGMail!

A really great tool for GMail users that is super easy to install and use.

A limitation clearly defined in the user guide is that when using DolceGMail to import an email into SugarCRM, only the email itself is imported... not any attachments to the email.

There are a couple of additional limitations in that you can only import emails to Contacts, and you can only search for the Contact you'd like to associate to by their email address. However, if the email you wish to import is from the Contact you'd like to associate it with, DolceGMail does automatically brings up that Contact, and once an email is imported, it can easily be associated with other modules from that Contact's detail page.

One surprise drawback was finding that DolceGMail appears to disable GMail's labels, though archived email can still be found in All Mail. This could make it more difficult to locate an archived email to import into SugarCRM, if you are accustomed to carefully archiving your email with labels and don't have sufficient information to successfully use GMail's search function.
